| A somewhat different angle. To the left (front) of the rails is my "grass garden" where I plan to put a variety of grasses. It is currently getting an edging of rocks out of Fancy's corral, which keeps unearthing more for us. The towel over the rail was pulled back after a recent cold snap, where it was protecting planted Dwarf Stella D'Oro Daylilies. From here you can see the Dwarf Cherry (foreground, with white coil protecting its trunk) almost in line with the native mesquite that volunteered to grow in the lawn some years ago -- in front of our pump house. The land behind the pump house belongs to the neighbors -- along with the line of evergreens they planted there some 15 years ago. |
