When we first saw him at about 8:30 Tuesday morning, he appeared to be a charcoal grey. In some lights he still appears this sort of almost black at the top, shading to lighter colors as you go down. He is definitely gray down his cannon bones and pasterns, except for a spot of white on his right rear coronet that turns 1/4 of his hoof white, and a black spot on one of his front pasterns. His mane is black, his tail is black with grey guard hairs. July 29, 2003.
