Follow the line of the top rail of the chain link fence from the hose on the right, back toward the house, and you'll see just beyond the first blue hay manger that the top rail has parted (over Guin).  Following further, you'll see the rather artistic curves it does, having suffered badly from hungry horses trying to reach the other side of the fence before I put the pallets up against it. The ground on the outside of the fence is covered in part with fallen hay, and with weed-whacked long grass.  But what this photo is really designed to show is Nanabel's Birthday Gingko biloba (foreground) planted on her birthday this year, and its companion red bud just beyond, planted on the same day.  29 January 2004
