This is the redbud planted next to the pumphouse (beside the driveway) in late summer 2003.  I was not as kind to it as I should have been at the end of the summer. It did have a few leaves on it when the cold weather came, but I am still not entirely sure it has survived. A fingernail scratch high up showed no green -- we'll see in the spring.  29 January 2004
