At the upper right corner of the image, you can see the twig around which the bugs built their home. I had never noticed these before, not until the year something that preyed on these bugs went missing and the bugs took over... whole fields of wild grasses were wiped out (foreign grasses didn't seem much affected -- or homeowners used poisons to control them).  They are still in the area, making me nervous.  August 21, 2004.
