Hi Group,
Ginia from Texas asked about the gluten-free status on canola oil. I found an article in the Spru-Nik Press from February/March 1996 which was posted in our bi-monthly celiac newsletter.
"Canola Oil is gluten-free, but it is made from rapeseed which can have a laxative effect on some people. Those who have problems with it should avoid it . . . but not for fear of gluten."
